Last week a friend of mine had a runny nose which developed into a fever. He arranged to safely go for a COVID-19 test. Thankfully, it wasn’t COVID-19, so he was able to focus on resting and not worry about who he had been in contact with and with whom he may have shared this dreaded virus (of course, he’s staying home, so that he doesn’t give people a cold either). These days have certainly made us all look at our own health in different ways.
With that said, as of yesterday, we have no report of COVID-19 cases within Christian Horizons communities in both Ontario and Saskatchewan.

Hurricane season continues in Central America and the Caribbean. Please keep our teams in your prayers as they continue to serve through challenging circumstances. The rain season has also come to Ethiopia and we have reports of impassable rivers and flooding. Our teams continue to work to get emergency COVID-19 nutrition support to families who may be cut off by the water. On a positive note, an Ethiopian news site has published a great profile interview of one of our local team members. Here’s the link to the article if you’re interested in learning more about this colleague and our work in Ethiopia: http://www.thereporterethiopia.com/article/when-passion-meets-profession.
One Day at a Time!
With the number of new, positive cases increasing again in Ontario, Saskatchewan, and throughout Canada, we can’t be too careful in our diligence – to wear our masks, wash our hands, keep a distance when we can, and pay attention to the different people with whom we come in contact. We’ll get through this – one day at a time!
