Last year, as people were helping by being redeployed, we were hopeful that the worst was behind us. This year, as we create ‘stand-by’ lists and work together to help people be supported during the holidays, I hope we can say for certain that the worst is behind us.

The Omicron wave has been hitting our country. Within Christian Horizons, a number of people have been confirmed of COVID-19. Thank goodness so many people have been vaccinated, because with this super-contagious variant, we’re all at risk.

As a response to updated guidelines from our provincial government and public health authorities, today we’re sharing an updated Interim COVID-19 Vaccination policy as well as updates about outbreak response. Christian Horizons Global Update

Around the world, people will be celebrating Christmas and other holiday traditions, except in Ethiopia where they celebrate on January 7, 2022. Our teams in each country have been delivering supplies and food to help make the holiday brighter. As we conclude another tough year, it is important to pause and reflect on the hope and peace we all need. Thanks to our donors for making the season brighter for people we support globally.
