This past week we’ve hit a sad, yet significant milestone in Canada – there have been more than one million cases of COVID-19. This is a daunting number, and while the vaccine roll–out gives us hope, the dwindling capacity of our hospitals remind us of our continued need to be super-diligent in wearing our masks and other PPE, washing our hands, and keeping a safe distance.
As of yesterday, Christian Horizons has one (1) person using services and seven (7) employees who are currently positive for COVID-19 in four (4) Ontario communities and one (1) Saskatchewan community.

Guatemala is seeing a surge in COVID-19 cases. Two communities, El Moro and Lake Amatitlan, are under new restrictions because they are hot zones. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Some of you have emailed me about what you’re looking forward to on the other side of this pandemic. One person said, “After the pandemic is officially over, I am looking forward to going to the beach. I love the water, the sunshine, the sand and the crowds of people enjoying themselves. My favourite beach is in Port Stanley.”
