I’m excited to share updates on the Support Meeting App! This app enables supervisors to capture support meeting discussions that have happened and helps supervisors create consistent habits in using the Support Meeting App.

At Karis, our diverse workforce helps people with developmental disabilities belong to communities in which their God-given gifts are valued and celebrated. To work together effectively, we need to meet regularly to connect our work and leverage each other’s strengths.

Since starting in 2022, we’ve recorded 4712 support meetings, with 3319 of them in 2024 alone. Our goal is for every Full-Time Employee to have at least one support meeting per quarter. Early adoption has been great, and we aim to increase usage.

The feedback we have received has led to improvements like a simplified dashboard. For example, I supervise 11 people, and this tool helps me track meetings, which will be especially important for those managing 20-30 people.

To help managers review the notes for meetings they have conducted, two new reports have been deployed. The reports can be found in the Reports Launch Pad of Karis Compass (found here: https://kariscompass.karis.org/Reports)

  • The first report is a simple report where you can print the support meetings for an employee by date-range.
  • The second report groups the questions and answers by question for a specific year and employee. This report can be helpful when reviewing conversations from the previous year for Performance and Development Reviews (PDRs.)

As a reminder, use the ‘Other Items’ field (#10) if you need to focus on specific topics. And don’t feel the need to ask every question each time but cover all important topics over the year.

Our goal is 100% adoption in 2025 where every supervisor is using the support meeting app.
