One place for information, resources, news, and connections across Karis.

After months of planning, collaboration, and feedback from staff and leaders across Karis, we are excited to announce that the new Karis Staff Portal will officially launch on August 24. The new portal will replace both CHConnect and the current staff portal, providing a more modern, user-friendly experience for accessing information, tools, and resources. On Aug 24, both the CHConnect home page and current staff portal home will redirect you to the new staff portal page. While the new site will become the primary staff portal at launch, most CHConnect pages will remain available for a transitional period over the next few months before the platform is fully retired.

Built on our existing SharePoint Online platform, the new Karis Staff Portal offers a modern, secure, and mobile-friendly experience at no additional cost.

What You Can Expect

The new portal has been designed to make it easier for employees to find information, access tools and resources, and stay connected with news and events across the organization.

A quick reference guide for navigating the Karis Staff Portal will be available on the homepage to support staff as they become familiar with the site.

Some of the key improvements include:

  • VPN is not needed to access the new staff portal making it much easier for staff to stay connected to the information they need.
  • A fresh, modern look and feel
  • Improved organization of content and resources
  • Simpler and more intuitive navigation
  • Better search capabilities
  • Centralized access to organizational news and events
  • Mobile-friendly design for phones, tablets, and computers

On The Horizon

On The Horizon isn’t changing – submissions and the weekly email will stay the same, but you’ll now find OTH articles published on the Karis Staff Portal.

What Happens Next?

We will continue to gather feedback and release enhancements to the Karis Staff Portal until March 2027. One planned enhancement that will be worked on after the launch is a new employee directory, which will replace the CH directory.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in this project. Your input has been instrumental in building a staff portal that better serves the needs of our organization.
