Taking pictures can be a fun and exciting way for people to share their stories and experiences. As people in Ontario vote again for a new Premier and provincial government, we want to hear from people who use Christian Horizons services about their voting experiences. Do you know someone supported by Christian Horizons who loves to take pictures, and who may be interested in sharing their story about voting in the 2022 Ontario election? Do you know someone who has taken pictures of previous elections and who would like to share their story?

We would like to host another Photo Voice project and discussion group to hear about and learn from people who use Christian Horizons services about their experiences in participating in elections.

What do we need to do?

  • Invite people to take pictures that tell their voting story. (Please remember that it is against the law to take pictures inside of polling stations, or to take pictures of other people as they go to vote).
  • Have people email jradstake@christian-horizons.org to express their interest in taking part in the discussion group, to get further instructions and guidance, or to ask any questions they have.

Those who participate in this project will be invited to one or more online meetings to share their pictures and stories, and to hear others share their pictures and stories as well. At these meetings we will give an opportunity for people to share their stories in different ways, and we might ask some questions as well. Dates and times for these meetings will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

We look forward to hearing from people about their stories. If you have any questions, please email jradstake@christian-horizons.org.
