Fundraising ends this Sunday!
Way to go! We’ve raised over $50,000 this year! Make sure all your donations are submitted by this weekend! Fundraising ends this Sunday, October 31.
Is there a deadline for submitting RIDE donations?
Yes – we must have all donations submitted to us online or by mail by October 31, 2021. Be sure cheques are made out to Ride for Refuge and include the participant’s name in the memo line.

Team Ride and Stride from the West District had a great experience on October 2. Team member Isaac Flagg recounts, ‘Four of us rode the 44km that I rode 41 times this summer as we traced my route. We fundraised above our goal. Thank you to our donors. What an awesome time!’

Ride For Refuge is only TWO DAYS away!
Which fundraising option will you choose? Set your own goals for cycling, walking, swimming, knitting, painting, cooking, woodworking, gaming – you name it!
We currently have 28 teams on the scoreboard and over $40,000 raised! Let’s try to reach our goal of raising $80,000 this year!
Although you can fundraise until the end of October, remember to do your Freestyle fundraising activity before or on October 2nd!

We’ll be giving away Happy Gift Cards to the TOP THREE individual fundraisers at EACH of our communities and the Waterloo office.
The top fundraiser in each district will win a $50 gift card, and the second and third highest fundraisers will win a $35 and $25 gift card, respectively. The winners get to pick from the 11 Happy Gift Cards listed here https://happycards.ca

Ride for Refuge Race to 500!
We’re giving away prizes to the first 50 fundraisers that raise $500! All you have to do is register, pick a #RIDEFreestyle activity, and start fundraising. We’ll track all the donations coming in, and the first 50 fundraisers who reach $500 will receive our limited edition Christian Horizons water bottle and flashlight pen.
I want in! What do I do?
- Register to freestyle online. Make sure you enter your correct email so we can contact you for your mailing address if you receive a prize.
- Fundraise $500 or more. For this contest, we will only count verified funds (a.k.a. online donations), not cash pledges.
- Do it fast. We only have 50 prizes for the first fundraisers who reach $500.

Ride for Refuge Kickoff: June 10
We will kick off our Ride for Refuge fundraising in just SIX DAYS! Our goal this year is to raise $80,000 to support people in Canada and around the world.
Although we won’t be gathering in large groups this year, we’re excited to see all your #FreestyleFundraising activities! You can cycle, walk, swim, knit, paint, bake, woodwork, game – you name it! Register your team for a family-friendly, COVID-safe, and accessible #RIDE21.
