Reflection
Our June Reflection is written by Keith Dow, Manager of Organizational and Spiritual Life.
Through our core values of valuing people, fostering belonging, serving others, and respecting gifts, we work for justice for people who are often marginalized.
How might you describe “intersectionality?” How might it be helpful as we think about the experiences of people who use Christian Horizons’ services? • Do you think of your work as a kind of advocacy for justice? Why or why not? There are good reasons why you may or may not have thought about your work in this way before.
Prayer Guide
June is the time for planting. This month’s prayer guide reflects on the biblical significance of the seeds of blessing that Christ plants for us, the blessings of being rooted in Him, and our role in planting seeds of blessings for others.
This prayer guide is included below to print and make available at various locations as an optional resource for employees, people receiving support, families and church partners. If you have any questions about the prayer guide or items to include next month, please contact ministry@christian-horizons.org.
