To all employees

Over the past few months, Directors and their teams have been diligently updating policies here at Karis Disability Services. By the end of the day tomorrow, December 20, 2024, these updates will be available in PolicyManager, the go-to platform for employees to access the most current policies and procedures.

Policy Attestations

iAttest, within PolicyManager, is where you will complete your attestations to policy changes. By completing an attestation in iAttest, you confirm that you have read and understood the changes made to a policy since its last update. You will only need to read and attest to:

  • The Chart of Policy Updates
  • New policies
  • Policies that have undergone substantial changes (50% or more)

The Chart of Policy Updates is comprehensive. Reading and attesting to this full chart will help you grasp the policy changes without needing to open and attest to every individual policy document. Remember, you can find this chart directly in PolicyManager.

New policies and those with substantial changes will continue to be assigned in iAttest. This does not mean you need to re-read the entire policy document! You only need to read and attest to policies identified as NEW or with SUBSTANTIAL CHANGES as detailed in the Chart of Policy Updates.

IMPORTANT DEADLINE: Policies will be assigned for attestation on December 30, 2024. You will have until Wednesday, April 30, 2025 (4 months), to complete these attestations. You can log into PolicyManager at any time to review the policies assigned to you in iAttest.

Not Seeing an Attestation Email in your Inbox?

You won’t receive an email about your attestations if you have not logged into PolicyManager since your last change of work location or province, or if you have never logged into the system. The system only recognizes you as a user after you log in. It is important to set aside time to complete this step. Once you log in, you will receive weekly email reminders to complete your attestations.

Hearing from Directors

Over the coming months, Directors are sharing brief articles in On the Horizon to explain the policy changes. This week, Jeff Ham, Director of Digital, Technology and Innovation, introduces our new Artificial Intelligence Acceptable Use Policy. Take a look here!
