Policy Software Management System
This article provides an update about the work we are doing to improve how we manage our policies, including levering technology at support locations and moving away from distributing paper copies of the Reference Manual.
In 2019, we introduced the new role of Policy Specialist to begin this work. In 2020, Dwayne Milley, Vice President of Operations, endorsed the start of the Policy Management System project. The goal of this project was to find and implement a software solution that automates the process of updating and reviewing policies. The Policy Software Task Force was created to lead this work, the list of members includes:
Throughout 2020 and 2021, the Task Force met eight times to discuss and develop over 50 software requirements and reviewed five vendor demonstrations and three responses to Request for Proposal (RPF). In June 2021, the Senior Leadership Team endorsed their recommendation to procure PolicyManager.
PolicyManager is a product of PolicyMedical, an RLDatix company. We are grateful for the significant work the Task Force has contributed to bring meaningful improvements to our organization.
At this time, the Operations Team is working on an implementation plan and anticipates launching the new software across the organization by the end of 2021.
