Celebrating a Year of Our New Identity: Carrying the Karis Disability Services Brand Forward

This week marks a full year since we launched our new brand, Karis Disability Services on September 25th, 2023! Can you believe it?

Thank you for embracing our new brand and doing your part to launch it well in its first year.

We chose the name “Karis” to represent who we are as an organization because of its origins in the Greek language, relating to grace, favour, loving-kindness, and gifts. You can read more about the rebrand on our website, at this link.

As we celebrate this milestone, it’s a good reminder that brand clarity and consistency are vital to build brand trust and recognition. This is integral to our future as people direct their own services and we’re discovered as a great option!

Here’s a checklist of five ways you can make a difference in clarifying our brand and moving its impact forward:

  1. Email Signature Update: Double-check that your email signature matches the provided template. This really matters as we communicate by email to various audiences daily, and branded email signatures are a mark of trustworthiness that the communication is being sent by a Karis Disability Services employee. Check you have the correct template here (VPN is required).
  2. Brand Fonts Family: Confirm you’ve installed and are using the brand fonts in all your digital and print communications to maintain consistency and readability (they were carefully selected for accessibility!) Download it here (VPN is required).
  3. Letterhead: Ensure all printed documents that find a home on walls or circulate among communities are proudly presented on the official letterhead. Find it here (VPN is required).
  4. Logo Usage: Respect the guidelines for the use of our logo, including sizing, spacing, and contexts, to enhance our brand’s visibility and reputation. When in doubt, ask your district Canva lead. Find the logos (VPN is required)  and Brand Guide (VPN is required).
  5. Be an Ambassador: Finally, continue embodying the values of Karis Disability Services. Your commitment to these values represents all of us well!

Thank you for your dedication and hard work over the past year. Here’s to many more as we carry our brand into the future, together!
