As awareness grows and stigma declines, Karis recognizes that employees are increasingly seeking workplaces that prioritize psychological support as much as traditional benefits. Mental health has evolved to be a core component of modern workforce strategy, reshaping how employees experience wellbeing, engagement, and long-term resilience.
Gratitude supports mental well-being by helping people shift their focus from stressors to the meaningful moments and relationships that sustain them. When integrated into mental health support, it strengthens resilience, fosters emotional balance, and deepens a sense of connection. Karis is supported by NFP, our benefit broker, who provides webinars such as: Gratitude as a Superpower: Cultivating Peace, Abundance and Connection.
As part of our commitment to employee well-being, we offer an Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) to all employees through Homewood Health. This program provides confidential, professional support for you and your immediate family members, helping you navigate mental health concerns, personal challenges, and everyday stressors.
Resources on health and wellness are available at homeweb.ca. For example, Letting Go of Expectations, Mental Health Toolkit and more.
Homewood Health is a confidential service offering articles, podcasts, and short-term counselling. If it’s your first time accessing the Homewood Portal, you can open this document (VPN required) to see the step-by-step enrollment instructions and the invitation code.
Should you have any challenges enrolling, you can call Homewood Health directly at 1-800-663-1142, or you can contact benefitinquiries@karis.org.
