LIFEWORKS EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
It’s almost the new year which means new and improved features are coming to your LifeWorks Employee Assistance Program (EAP). For the past two weeks, we have been highlighting some of the new features coming January 4th, 2021 to improve and personalize your LifeWorks EAP experience.
Employee Access
The new Core Well-being feature will allow you to create a personalized profile using your own unique individual LifeWorks login. On January 4th, 2021, LifeWorks will provide a welcome email to your Christian Horizons email address with instructions to activate your personal account and create your own confidential password. You can change your password at any time under Account Settings in the LifeWorks platform.
Family Access
You can also invite up to five eligible dependents to create an account on Lifeworks’ online platform (at login.lifeworks.com or by free mobile app for iOS or Android) with their own individual profile and confidential password. Please see the attached flyer below for more details.
For all questions regarding LifeWorks, employees can continue to contact us through our dedicated email at benefitinquiries@christian-horizons.org or visit LifeWorks on CHconnect.
Please note: The privacy of your personal information is extremely important. When you access your Employee Assistance Program (EAP), the support is provided by a third-party benefit company – LifeWorks. Whether you are searching for articles on the LifeWorks website or accessing counseling supports, all identifying information is confidential and not shared with Christian Horizons. The data Christian Horizons receives demonstrates overall usage such as the number of users per month, and the commonly searched topics (stress, COVID, etc.). You can be confident your identity is protected when accessing EAP services.

For Supervisors
ORIENTATION SYSTEM AND ACTIVE DIRECTORY DAY 1
On December 16, 2020, Learning Coordinator, Jeannette Boyes, and Director of Workplace Learning, Steve Snider, introduced a new coordinated, complementary approach to new hire orientation. The recording is available on CHconnect on the Orientation and On-boarding page at Orientation System & New Hire Cohort Model Webinar.
The Orientation System provides newly hired employees, and their supervisor, with information to support and coach them in their new role. All newly hired employees can access a Personal Orientation Site on Day 1 and their supervisor receives email instructions to support them with navigating the system. Monthly reviews are also available on the Orientation System and forms can be printed to submit to the employees’ HR file. Starting April 1, 2021, all 90 Day probationary reviews will be available within each employee’s Personal Orientation Site.
Active Directory Day 1 is a new process that ensures employees have login access on their first day with Christian Horizons. Effective January 10, 2021, all new hire documentation will be submitted through the new Orientation System.
For further support and to answer any questions, please contact the Workplace Learning Coordinators at learning@christian-horizons.org.
