FOR ONTARIO EMPLOYEES
As communicated in letters to all Ontario employees on August 30th & September 15th and in On the Horizon videos and articles, starting today, the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) requires that all Ontario employees who have not disclosed they are fully vaccinated, must undertake weekly rapid antigen screening along with education to continue working.
If you do not wish to disclose your vaccination status or do not have a medical exemption, no documentation is required. The only documentation required from employees at this time is either:
- Proof of vaccination or,
- Medical documentation for exemption from vaccination
The medical accommodation for exemption from vaccination criteria is based on the Ontario Ministry of Health Medical Exemption to COVID-19 Vaccination document:
- Severe allergic reaction or anaphylaxis to a component of a COVID-19 vaccine
- Severe allergic reaction or anaphylaxis following a COVID-19 vaccine
- Myocarditis or Pericarditis following a mRNA COVID-19 vaccine
- Actively receiving monoclonal antibody therapy OR convalescent plasma therapy for the treatment or prevention of COVID-19
Employees requesting Medical Accommodation are required to complete the COVID-19 Vaccination Medical Accommodation form. The form includes instructions for submitting directly to Acclaim Ability Management for adjudication.
