In Ontario, Karis Disability Services has been working with our government partner in Ontario, the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) to confirm that Karis continues to meet all regulatory requirements outlined for Ontario services. Inspection visits took place between January 27th and February 14th, 2025, and our direct support teams that were selected to be visited have worked very diligently to prepare for and respond to these inspections.
We are happy to announce that Karis Disability Services received a Letter of Compliance from MCCSS on March 4th, 2025, which confirms that Karis Disability Services was found to be IN COMPLIANCE with Ontario Regulations. This letter, in compliance with legislation, has been posted at the main entrance of our Waterloo office.
This inspection season came at a particularly busy time, in which we are still in transition between systems and improvement initiatives, and we learned a great deal in the process. From the QRPI department, we want to express our sincere appreciation and thanks to everyone who was involved in preparing for, supporting, and/or following up with these inspection visits. Thank you.
As in previous years, we will continue to debrief and unpack our experiences with districts and district Service Standards Managers, to share trends and learning from these visits.
For more information, please feel free to reach out to your district Service Standards Manager, or Justin Radstake, Manager of Quality Assurance.
