Dear friends,
As we’ve been wrapping up our long-standing Child Sponsorship Program, many of our Child Sponsors have been asking, “What’s next?” Partners in Belonging is our new invitation to support meaningful work both globally and here in Canada. Through fundraising, we invite people to help create and sustain communities of belonging in areas not supported through provincial funding.
The graphic below offers a few more details:
Why are Communities of Belonging important?
At Karis, we believe everybody belongs. Yet many people with disabilities continue to experience exclusion, isolation, and loneliness. Our charitable work helps create spaces where people are welcomed, supported, and connected to community. Donor generosity makes this possible, helping people know that they are seen, valued, and loved.

We are deeply grateful to the Child Sponsors who have faithfully supported Karis for more than 30 years. As the program concludes, Partners in Belonging becomes the next chapter of that generosity.
Partners in Belonging members receive exclusive monthly impact newsletters and invitations to virtual conversations with our global in-country partners. They also get to join a growing community committed to building a world where everybody belongs.
Whether through financial support, volunteering, advocacy, prayer, or your daily work at Karis, thank you for helping create communities where people with disabilities are welcomed, valued, and included. Together, we can help ensure that nobody is overlooked or forgotten and instead experiences the hope and dignity that come from belonging.
Perhaps you want to learn more. You can find more information on the Partners in Belonging webpage. You may also call or email me (Dwayne) at 647-204-7914 and dmilley@karis.org. And, if you’d like to become a Partner in Belonging yourself, you can sign up by visiting the program website, calling our Fundraising department, or registering for payroll deductions.
Thank you.
