​Our objective when providing T4s and donation receipts is to ensure information for filing personal tax returns is available to employees and donors on a timely basis.

The timelines for issuing 2020 T4s and donation receipts are as follows:

  1. Electronic T4 delivery – T4s will be available on Quadrant Self Service by February 5, 2021, for those employees who have selected the “electronic” delivery option and for those employees who have not selected a delivery option.
  2. Paper T4 mailed via Canada Post – for employees who have requested “electronic and paper” for their T4 delivery method, the 2020 T4s will be mailed out no later than February 12, 2021.
  3. Donation receipts – mailed out no later than February 22, 2021. Any donations made through payroll deductions continue to be included on T4s.

Employee T4 Delivery Options

The method by which you receive your T4s is up to each employee. You may choose to obtain your T4 from Quadrant Self Service or have your T4 mailed to you via Canada Post. Employees may change their T4 delivery option through Quadrant Self Service until January 15, 2021.

Christian Horizons continues to promote that employees obtain their T4s through Quadrant Self Service, based on positive results from the electronic distribution of T4s from the last few years. Christian Horizons meets the criteria outlined by the government for providing T4s electronically: a secure electronic portal and secure site for printing T4s, in addition to providing an option to have a paper copy of your T4 mailed via Canada Post.

If you provided your delivery preference through Quadrant Self Service last year, your choice is recorded and will continue as selected. If you do not select a T4 delivery preference, your T4 will be available to you electronically through Quadrant Self Service.

For employees who are no longer with Christian Horizons or who are on a leave of absence, T4s will be mailed via Canada Post.

In the event a T4 is misplaced, lost, or mailed to an incorrect address, duplicate copies of T4s are to be obtained through Quadrant Self Service.

Ensure Your Address is Current

Please provide your current address, especially if receiving a paper copy of your T4 mailed via Canada Post. Address updates are to be provided through Quadrant Self Service and should be done so as soon as possible (and no later than January 15, 2021). Address information is available for review under the ‘Personal’ section of the drop-down menu and under ‘Demographics’ in Quadrant Self Service. To change a home address, highlight the current address and click the edit link. After changes have been made, click the save icon and the change will be updated.
