COVID-19 has prompted many changes – GROW and GROW Studios are no exception. Prior to the pandemic and in its midst, we have been evaluating the scope of services offered at GROW and GROW Studios and the framework needed to continue this work. Given the continued pause in community programs, we’ve determined that we will not resume or sustain these social enterprises into the future.
We’re sad about this, yet we know it is the right decision at this time. Currently, we are beginning to envision and shape the future for these types of services in the Ottawa community. We look forward to creating new community connections, developing new partnerships, and engaging participants fully in their community.
As we begin a new chapter, thank you to everyone who has enjoyed the artisanship of GROW and GROW Studios over the years. Perhaps you have a coaster, a Christmas decoration, or even a desk made by the participants. Its legacy will live on in the impact it has had in helping people who experience disabilities belong to communities in which their God-given gifts are valued and respected.
