Promoting Better Relationships and Meaningful Conversations at Work

On June 20 we shared an update on the support meeting tool (here’s the link). Today, I’m pleased to share that we now have a dashboard available to help supervisors track their support meetings with their team members. It is important for supervisors to meet directly with their team members – it helps in our working relationships and provides the opportunity for celebrating successes, problem solving, and other kinds of feedback.

Here are links to both tools (needs VPN):

  • Support meeting app – available to all employees. If you’re a supervisor, you’ll see all your support meetings and be able to create new ones.
  • Dashboard – available to supervisors. You’ll be able to see a summary report of your team to know if you’ve met with your staff or not for each quarter – January to March, April to June, July to September, and October to December.

As examples, here’s a look at my view in both apps:

My Support Meetings

In the menu bar at the top, you’ll see ‘New Support Meeting’. I have meetings this week, so I’ll simply click that link to start a new entry. Supervisors can also access the new dashboard in the same menu bar.

My Dashboard View

This one is for supervisors. Here I can see at a glance if I’ve stayed on top of my support meetings. Green dots mean I’m on track with at least one support meeting in the quarter, and an ‘X’ means I missed the support meeting that quarter, or I haven’t yet had it (at the time of this writing we’re in the third calendar-quarter now – July to September).

For me, I’ve simply added these two links to my bookmarks. If you’re using Chrome, it’s as simple as clicking the “star” symbol in the address bar. Please remember, these links are only available at a Karis location or via the VPN.

I know that you can also get to the support meeting tracker through CHConnect.

Please know, all supervisors are expected to use these tools. I’ll be checking with my team to ensure support meetings are happening.

As you interact with these tools, if you have input or feedback regarding the questions or prompts, please email Lisa Simmons at lsimmons@karis.org. If you have input or feedback about the app itself, or if you find that something isn’t working as it should, please email Ralph Findling at rfindling@karis.org.

Thanks so much for all you do in helping the people who use our services belong in their communities.
