To all employees whose email has not yet changed to @karis.org.

Early on Monday morning (November 20th), your email address will be changed to the new @karis.org format. We will do this change overnight to allow time for things to synchronize. This will affect your sign-in address for many services (Shared iPad, Office365, MetaCompliance, PolicyManager, AlayaCare etc.…). Most things should be updated by the time you start work on Monday. As this is just a change in your sign-in address, your password will not change, and all your content will still be there.

Some things to be aware of:

  • This is a change to your primary email address. Emails sent to your old @christianhorizons.net email address will continue to arrive at your inbox for the next few years.
  • Office Apps: Outlook, Teams, and other office apps should update without intervention, but a reboot helps if it is not updated within a couple of hours. If it still does not update, try signing out of the app and back in with the new email address.
  • OneDrive Known Issues: OneDrive will report many errors for an hour or so while it updates links to files. If you have shared files from your personal OneDrive, you may need to reshare them due to the username change. This does not apply to links to files stored in Teams document libraries.
  • Ivanti (Pulse) Secure VPN may fail to connect. You will need to connect with the IT Helpdesk to get your user certificate renewed. Please create a ticket at https://helpdesk.chconnect.org to connect with the Helpdesk team.

Other Sign-ins: For external services using your ch.org/.net email that are not linked to our system for authentication, you can update your email address for login at any time (i.e., LinkedIn, Raiser’s Edge, BMO Spend Dynamics…)
