September 22, 2022
Today is the first day of Fall. Depending on where you live, you might see the colours changing and the beauty of Autumn. If you’re further south like me, the new colours might be just beginning to peak through.
By now, those of us with school-aged kids are back into the rhythm of school – lunches, drop off, pick up, bus stops, homework, and more. In the midst of it all, we are still paying attention to cold symptoms and being careful of COVID-19.
Globally, we are glad to hear that the elementary students in the remote village of El Zapatillo are back to in-person school once again! This village experienced great difficulty in hiring teachers who were willing/able to travel the distance, especially with COVID-19 concerns still in place. After a short start with teachers at the beginning of the school year, they had to get by online. We are so pleased that they can get back to regular school again.
We would like to come together again to talk further about COVID-19 as we navigate the tensions of physical health and safety, and connect with our friends, family, and communities as we promote communities where everybody belongs. So, we are inviting you all to an organizational webinar, which we are hosting on Friday, September 30th, 2022, at 11:00 am EST. Please register here.
Here are this week’s statistics.
Sincerely,
Dwayne
