Reflection
Find the July 2026 Reflection attached below!
Karis’ Reflection approach follows one shared strategic theme each quarter, with three connected reflections:
- Roots, grounding the theme in our identity and culture;
- Trellis, connecting it to strategy and organizational priorities; and
- Fruit, sharing stories of lived impact.
July begins our second quarter theme, Thriving People, with a Roots reflection called “Everybody First.” Keith Dow reflects on Christine, a person supported in Ottawa whose team learned her unique ways of communicating, building trust, and sharing life together. Her story opens up a wider conversation about accessible communication, universal design, and how we can better consider everybody’s needs from the start.
Over the next few months, the reflections will continue exploring how our strategies, tools, and stories can help us communicate more clearly, listen more carefully, and strengthen connection across Karis.
