Signs of New Life

When I first moved to Ontario in 1988 for college, March break rolled around and I was amazed by the flowers blooming and the trees budding. The new life of spring – it seemed so tropical! As I write this in 2026, the warmth of spring and the beauty of flowers blooming still feels far away. But we know that time will come.
Central to the Christian tradition, Easter reminds us that there is more to life than what we see. Even death is not the end. God invites us not only to live, but to live life to the full (John 10:10). Living fully can look different for each of us, but the beauty of diversity is that we benefit from the gifts each of us bring.
