October 30, 2025
To Karis employees,
Tomorrow (October 31, 2025), we will be releasing the next policy revision which includes this important update for all hourly employees.
What’s Changing?
Starting November 9, 2025, or pay period 2524, the grace window for punching in and out will be adjusted from 15 minutes to 10 minutes total—5 minutes before and 5 minutes after the scheduled shift time.
Here’s what this means:
- Punching In: Employees may punch in up to 5 minutes before or up to 5 minutes after their scheduled shift start time.
- Example: If your shift starts at 7:00 AM, any punch between 6:55 AM and 7:05 AM will be considered on time, and you will be paid from 7:00 AM.
- Punching Out: Employees may punch out up to 5 minutes before or up to 5 minutes after their scheduled shift end time.
- Example: If your shift ends at 2:30 PM, any punch between 2:25 PM and 2:35 PM will be considered on time, and you will be paid until 2:30 PM.
- Outside the Window: Punches outside the 10-minute window will be reviewed and paid based on actual time worked, pending supervisor approval.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Gleva, Vice President of Human Resources
