This week, Karis Disability Services is thrilled to celebrate our incredible Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). Traditionally, we have marked this occasion in the fall in Ontario, but this year, we are excited to align with our teams in Saskatchewan to honour our DSPs together.
You, DSPs, do a wonderful job of representing Karis in the community. We’re deeply grateful that you chose this as your career and to work in carrying out the vision at Karis – that people with disabilities belong to communities in which their God-given gifts are valued and celebrated.
There are many things to celebrate, but here are a few:
Your diversity and dedication. You bring a wealth of experience and perspective to Karis so that we can be a place where everybody belongs. Thank you!
You are committed to our service principles and training to ensure people supported by Karis receive the highest quality of care. Thank you!
You are community builders! Your role in supporting people to experience full citizenship, achieve their goals, and use their gifts make all our communities better. Thank you!
Organizationally, you have a very important role in in helping us shape our next strategic plan. We are grateful for everybody who has contributed at our engagement sessions, and we look forward to more great engagement with communities throughout the month.
This week, Executive Directors and some of their team members are visiting support locations across all the districts with a small gift of appreciation. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect, celebrate, and express our heartfelt thanks in person.
Thank you for your unwavering commitment and passion. You make a difference every day, and we are proud to celebrate you this week and always. You all deserve it!
