This spring, quarantine created a community in the least likely of places—breaking the barriers of physical borders by providing a virtual platform that created an equal playing field: a place to learn to cook. People wanting to learn how to cook have joined together online to attend free cooking classes offered by Christian Horizons—both people with and without disabilities, including employees in the tech sector in the United States. Together, this group has built a community over their shared learning goal.

We know connections have been happening all over the organization and we want to celebrate that.  Are there things people who use our services have been doing to support and encourage their community? Are there ways neighbours and communities have reached out and come alongside people using our services during these last few months?

We want to celebrate the ways in which communities have been together with us during the last few months.

To submit a story, please ask people using services to email onward@christian-horizons.org with their story by July 15th. We’ll take a look at all the submissions and create a video that captures the different ways togetherness has occurred over the last few months.
