On November 4th we shared that two new Forms were developed to document bathing protocols and were made available on CH Connect under Personal Care, which can be found here (VPN required).

Changes to how we document these protocols, as well as how we document employee reviews of these protocols, have been made based on recommendations made by the MCCSS Compliance Inspection Team in Ontario to implement a more universal approach to our documentation. In addition, the MCCSS has also recently moved the level of risk attached to non-compliances on bathing/showering protocols from “High” to “Immediate”. Given this level of risk, further changes have been developed in the ODB TAMS system to document employee reviews online, through the ODB TAMS system.

Employees will be prompted in the ODB TAMS system to document that they have reviewed the current Bathing/Showering protocol for each person (separately) who is supported with a bathing/showering protocol. Each review must be completed at least once per year.

Systems Managers in each district will be implementing these changes in the ODB TAMS system in the coming weeks, and you will receive more information about the timing of these changes from your district System Manager(s).
