By now, many of you are aware of the AlayaCare champions across all of Karis. I’m excited for every person who stepped up to act as champions until March 31, and for Marirose Bruce, an Area Manager in Central District who is leading the work. They’ve set a goal to visit every location by January 15, and most are on track towards that target.
People who use our services can expect to direct more of their services personally. AlayaCare helps us better meet that need, and its features help us engage more relevantly in this new reality. It will help us shift how we do our work to get to where we need to go.
Since the Champions started, we’ve already seen a significant increase in views on the Alayacare Resource page (click here to visit the resources page).
Simply, we want the champions to help us increase the knowledge and use of AlayaCare. Some of the things they’re checking to see if they’re helping to make a difference are:
- increased iPad app usage
- more views on the resources page (which we’re already seeing!)
- reduce forms in drafts that are more than 30 days old
- increase improved forms
- increase visits marked “complete”
- increase actions in care plans which show updates (such as progress notes, visits, etc.)
- increase visits that indicate the specific support (service code) provided
One more thing – Christian Otte (VP – DTI) shared with me that AlayaCare (the company) is providing $10,000 worth of their expert resources to visit some of our program locations and thoroughly evaluate how we use the software to plan and deliver services. The goal is to find ways to reduce the number of steps or clicks it takes to do something in AlayaCare. We want to help optimize workflow, to make it easier to engage with AlayaCare as you support people. We’ll share the findings afterwards, supported by the AlayaCare Champions and updates to training materials.
If you have any questions about the work of the champions, please contact me or Marirose. We’re quite excited about this work, and many champions have said that they’ve received an eager welcome from you – you seem excited too!
Thank you, and Merry Christmas!
