Reflections from Winter Family Camp 2023
Last week, Pastor Eric Versluis from The Meeting House Ottawa, wrote a reflection for the Disability and Faith Forum about his recent experience at a Christian Horizons Family Camp. In his reflection, Pastor Eric recounts some of the events he witnessed during the weekend retreat and he contemplates the cost of parenthood and what it means to deeply care for people around us.
Pastor Eric writes:
They say that it is an act of love to be willing to die for another person.
But it is, perhaps, an even greater act of love to be willing to live for another person.
To keep showing up.
To keep opening your heart.
To keep living your entire life around caring for another.
