We have exciting news! We are preparing to launch a new customer-driven service delivery platform to replace the Operations Database (ODB).

Watch this video to learn more.

What platform was chosen to replace the ODB and why?

A cross-functional group of more than 20 people represented the organization and selected an awesome new platform to replace the ODB. Thank you again to all those that invested their time in this work!

We are excited to share that the platform chosen is called AlayaCare. Dwayne announced this at the Leaders Conference this week.

It is not a database – it is a software platform backed by a market leading company in Canada for home care, and community and social services. Their platform is also used in Australia for disability care where there is a self-directed funding model. AlayaCare has more than 500 customers.

This great new service delivery platform will:

  • Make things faster and easier for DSPs and PMs with the AlayaCare mobile app and intuitive platform.
  • Enable key Onward initiatives in our strategic plan and our continued shift to self directed services.
  • Increase our customer focus and offer a more digital experience with a great customer portal and mobile app for people supported and/or their families or caregivers.
  • Move us off the current ODB that needs to be replaced. The technology it is built on won’t be supported for much longer.

What do we need to start the project?

We need 2 people to join the project team! To get the project started we are looking for two, current Christian Horizons team members to be seconded to this project:

  1. A project lead: To be the primary voice of DSP and PM needs and requirements. We’re looking for this position to start as soon as possible.
  2. A training and change lead: To prepare and equip the organization to learn and adapt.

We will share more details next week and invite everyone to express interest in these great opportunities.

What’s next?

We’ll be sharing more about the two project opportunities next week so stay tuned. This project will kick off soon!
