Let’s Talk: Grief and Loss
People who use Christian Horizons’ services have faced a range of losses these past couple of years, from missed opportunities to take vacations, to spend time with family members and friends, to engage in meaningful employment or in knowing people who have passed away due to COVID-19 or direct support employees who have changed jobs or locations.
We recognize that some of the opportunities to mourn these losses may also have been missed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
On Thursday, October 27th from 1 – 2 pm ET, Chantal Huinink and Laena Maunula will be hosting a virtual time of conversation and mutual support for people who use our services, and any direct support professionals who might be needed to help them engage or communicate effectively. We welcome people who participated on May 5 to come again if they wish, and any new participants to join us.
Please print the poster below and distribute it to people who might benefit from this session. Talk with them about what they might need to participate fully, and help people to sign up and get set up for the call if support is needed in this way.
