On Sunday, February 6, 2022, beginning at 8:00 AM, the IS&T department will be upgrading the Waterloo Office firewalls. The firewalls are the first line of cyber defence in protecting Christian Horizons’ data assets. The firewalls control and monitor all incoming and outgoing traffic between the Waterloo Office and the Internet.
During the upgrade, all resources hosted at the Waterloo Office will not be available. These resources include:

  • COVID-19 RANT Test Submission
  • Vaccine Reporting
  • Course Registration
  • CH Directories (both Community and AM)
  • Archived Email
  • Petty Cash Submission
  • Operations Database (ODB)
  • CH Connect
  • QHR
  • All Terminal Services
  • All VPNs (Meraki, FortiClient, Pulse Connect Secure)

The following resources will not be affected:

  • LMS (https://lms.chconnect.org)
  • HelpDesk (https://helpdesk.chconnect.org:8443)
  • Office 365 Applications (Email, Teams, OneDrive, etc)

The upgrade will take approximately four hours. Updates will be provided on the helpdesk with regard to the status of the upgrade. Teams are reminded to use backup paper processes as required during the upgrade.
