MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES
For many of us, January is a difficult time. With the effects of Seasonal Affective Disorder, the ongoing restrictions of the pandemic, and the exhaustion we are all experiencing, we wanted to remind you of the mental health resources available to support you, and your family.
Sun Life Benefits:
Part-time and Full-time employees have Sun Life benefits that include options to support your psychological health. In addition to Psychologists and Social Workers, your coverage also includes Clinical Counsellors, Psychotherapists, and Psychoanalysts. For questions regarding benefits, employees can contact the dedicated email benefitinquiries@christian-horizons.org or visit Sun Life Benefit Information on CHconnect.
Prayer, Support, and Encouragement:
If our Organizational and Spiritual Life team can be a support to you or the people you support through prayer, encouragement, or just being a listening ear please reach out to them. You can connect directly with Chantal Huinink, our Coordinator of Organizational and Spiritual Life by emailing chuinink@christian-horizons.org. She is also able to help coordinate mental health supports for people that we support. More Employee information and Assistance is also available on CHconnect at covid19.chconnect.org/employee-assistance/.
LifeWorks:
All employees have access to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), LifeWorks, by Morneau Shepell. EAP provides online, telephone and in-person counselling as well as resources and articles. You can log in using your personalized username and password to see what they have available to support you at login.lifeworks.com. If you have not set up a personalized username, you can continue to use Christian Horizons generic login to access the LifeWorks website. Information about LifeWorks is also available on CHconnect.
