Thank you so much for your continued fundraising efforts. We have now raised $49,276 so far. We appreciate everyone’s participation and drive to make this fundraiser such a success. We hope you all are having fun. 😊
Even though we missed the chance again to meet and ride together, we continue to be excited and inspired by the different RIDE Freestyle activities.
Here is Bethany and Chantal’s RIDE story from the Waterloo Office team Scrambled Legs
A couple of Saturdays ago, Chantal and I chose to do the 5km walk for our RIDE Freestyle event. We did our walk in and around the Highland west neighbourhood including through the Monarch Woods Park. It was a beautiful walk in the forest in the middle of the city. We enjoyed the changing colours and the mostly accessible walking trail. We packed trail mix that we had made together before our freestyle activity and enjoyed it during our walk. It was a great day!
It’s incredible to hear about all the fun and creative ways our teams are Freestyling across Christian Horizons. We would love to continue to showcase how everyone participated in the RIDE. So please continue to send your videos, pictures, and a brief description of your activity to Ashleigh Gee (agee@christian-horizons.org). This whole month of October, we would like to share these across our social media platforms to encourage, inspire, and bring unity among our fundraisers, participants, and donors.
Ride for Refuge fundraising is extended until October 31st, so you have a few more weeks to meet your fundraising goals, join a team or even create your own team. Don’t forget there will be overall fundraising prizes for the top 3 fundraisers in each district and the Waterloo office. The overall individual fundraising Prizes will be announced on Monday, November 1st. So keep up the fantastic efforts!
