On Monday, September 20th, 2021, citizens across Canada voted for its new government. Congratulations to all those elected to what will be the 44th Parliament of Canada. We would like to conduct a Photovoice research project to hear from people who participated (or not) in the election and to learn about their experiences.

Do you know someone who participated, and who took pictures of their experiences, and who would be interested in sharing them with us? Please see the attached poster.

People who are interested could share pictures they have taken in the past, or pictures that they will take, for example, people could take a picture about:

  • Recreating their voting experience (how they voted, what they had to do to vote);
  • How they learned about voting or where they got their election news from;
  • Where people voted, or how they got to their polling station;
  • Who they got help from to vote, or what kind of things helped them?
  • Problems they experienced in voting,
  • Barriers, or things that would be helpful to get support for.

If someone you know who is accessing services from Christian Horizons is interested in taking part in this opportunity, please have them email jradstake@christian-horizons.org by November 12th

We look forward to hearing from you!
