FOR ONTARIO EMPLOYEES
September 16, 2021
This has been a very long year and a half. Thank you all as we work together to keep the people that use our services and each other safe and well. In follow up to Janet’s email to you yesterday, we are working very hard to create systems and processes to implement the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services’ (MCCSS) requirements. These require that all employees:
- Disclose that they are fully vaccinated, or
- Provide specific medical documentation showing they are unable to receive the vaccine at this time, or
- Receive education to help understand the value of the vaccines available
For those employees that have not disclosed they are fully vaccinated for any reason, they must undertake weekly rapid antigen screening to continue working. This rapid antigen testing will help each of us avoid unknowingly spreading COVID-19 to any of the people that use our services or our fellow staff – what a relief.
In order to help us prepare for rapid antigen screening in your community, if you have received your vaccine, but have not reported it yet, you need to use this link to share information on either your first or second dose: https://forms.chconnect.org/vaccine. Your supervisor has been equipped with a separate link to support you if you have difficulty uploading your vaccine record.
In order to conduct rapid antigen testing correctly or confirm someone else’s testing, there is a short, required e-Learning available on our Learning Management System (LMS). On Friday, September 17th, the Workplace Learning team will be enrolling ALL DSP’s, Program Managers, and Team Leads in Ontario for this e-learning course. Please work to complete this short learning experience within the week as we prepare to roll out rapid antigen screening across the organization.
