This week, we have seen positive signs in Canada. In Saskatchewan, stage 3 of the re-opening plan could come soon as they approach the 70% vaccination rate. In Ontario, we can celebrate the opening of the provincial borders. In light of these encouraging signs, we can’t let our guard down. We need to continue to be vigilant in order to see further restrictions ease based on medical advice.
As of yesterday, Christian Horizons has one (1) employee, who is currently positive for COVID-19 in one (1) Ontario community. We have no active cases in Saskatchewan.

In Haiti, they are experiencing a wave of COVID-19 cases. Sadly, we have learned that one of our partners is in the hospital with COVID-19. Our partner church network is working to provide PPE and hand washing kits to prevent spread. This situation is a good reminder that the pandemic is worldwide and is far from over.
