Cases of COVID-19 are on the decrease again. More and more people have been able to get their first vaccination shots – and some even have had their second. In both Ontario and Saskatchewan, our governments have released our broad re-opening plans. It’s been fifteen months since the pandemic started, and at that point, many of us thought the lockdown would last just fifteen days.

Last Friday, we were fortunate to have two infectious disease experts attend and present at our vaccination webinar. They were super-encouraging as they shared information about the vaccine – how it was developed and how it works. We didn’t record that session, but we can refer back to what we learned in future webinars.

As of yesterday, Christian Horizons has nine (9) people who use our services and nine (9) employees, who are currently positive for COVID-19 in three (3) Ontario communities and one (1) Saskatchewan community.

Christian Horizons Global

COVID-19 cases continue to rise and unfortunately, vaccines are still not available in the countries where we support people globally. As an example, our Guatemalan leader had to travel to visit family in the USA in order to get a vaccine. Knowing that he is vaccinated will help him have confidence as he continues to lead programs in Guatemala and possibly allow him access to communities when restrictions are in place.

Stay Safe!

Vice President of Operations
