Well, that’s it! August has passed. It’s been a long, long six months since the pandemic started. Thank you for keeping on in your commitment to helping people who experience disabilities belong to communities in which their God-given gifts are valued and respected. As of yesterday, there is one (1) employee who is currently positive for COVID-19 in one (1) Christian Horizons community in Ontario. We have no active cases in Saskatchewan. Christian Horizons Global The flooding in Haiti caused by Tropical Storm turned Hurricane, Laura has subsided. Thank you for keeping our team there in your thoughts and prayers. Our teams continue to serve in difficult situations in the countries where we work. The economic impact of the COVID-19 crisis is still the biggest problem that they are trying to tackle. Despite that, they continue to show creativity and resilience as they administer food and education programs while keeping distancing measures in place. Happy Long Weekend! It’s Labour Day weekend. Whether you’re working this weekend or not, I pray that you’ll find time and ways to enjoy the long weekend. No matter how you spend the weekend, thank you for wearing your mask, washing your hands, and keeping a safe distance.
