Karis is committed to ongoing disability advocacy and collaboration with partners across Canada. These partnerships help churches and ministries foster belonging with people with disabilities and others who have been marginalized. We are honoured to partner in Story Day: Accessibility, Nurturing Access and Equity, taking place October 22, 2025, at Toronto’s St. James Cathedral Centre Event Venue (65 Church Street). Through powerful personal narratives, music, and shared food, Story Day explores what it means to create truly accessible and welcoming spaces. The event celebrates diverse voices and lived experiences, offering time to connect, reflect, and build community.

Registration is open now, and as event sponsors, Karis staff and people who use our services have access to the student rate (50% off) using the code STUDENT2025.

Unless you are attending in a direct support role or have made other arrangements with your supervisor, attendance at this event is considered personal development and is not part of paid work time.

  • Register for Story Day at zeffy.com.
  • Share the event with colleagues and local church partners who value accessibility and inclusion.
  • Reflect together on how storytelling and shared experience can deepen belonging in your own context.
