It’s Here!

After a year of planning, writing, consulting, designing, coding, and testing, phase 1 of our new website will launch on May 28, 2024!

Karis.org will show you our new brand in action, with audience-centric and accessible content and designs. You’ll also notice more inspiration in the stories, photos, and information shared throughout the site. And this is only phase 1!

What’s Next?

Throughout fiscal 2025 (until March 31, 2025), we have a prioritized list and work plan to add more approved content and functionality to our website. We have worked with content owners to determine what needs to be added and when, so stay tuned for ongoing updates to this site throughout the rest of F2025.

We will also be adding ways to engage key audiences and drive traffic to karis.org, doing user research, optimizing content for search engine optimization, investing into Google ad words and Google Analytics, training select users on how to perform website updates, and integrating more of our Karis systems to the site. It will be a full year of continued focus on growing the impact of karis.org!

Your Questions

In anticipation of what you might wonder, here are some answers for you and additional important information. Should you have further questions that are not answered below, please email communications@karis.org, or for technical website questions, email DTI at helpdesk@karis.org.

What is happening to ChristianHorizons.org?

  • When karis.org goes live, ChristianHorizons.org will be taken down. If you need to save any materials, text copy or photos from our current website, we highly encourage you to do so soon. And DTI is archiving the content from our current site in case it needs to be referenced in the future.

What about promotional materials using URLs or QR codes connected to ChristianHorizons.org?

  • Most existing ChristianHorizons.org program links, like /HostFamily or /FamilyCamp, will have a redirect going to their corresponding karis.org page. If there is no corresponding Karis.org page for a certain URL, it will redirect to the karis.org homepage.
  • On recently printed materials, like the Host Family Brochure, Family Camp postcards etc., there may be a QR code leading to our CH website. If you scan the QR code and a bitly link appears, then please email communications@karis.org as we can help edit and redirect the QR code to karis.org.

What is happening to our current Karis.org microsite?

  • The karis.org microsite will be expanded from just a homepage and a careers page to everything included in phase one of our website. The karis.org URL will remain the same.

How will we be promoting our new website?

  • Keep an eye out for social media posts before and after our launch!
  • On launch day, you can also expect a Dear Everybody letter from Janet, our CEO, in your inbox with more details about our new website.

Will more content be added to the website after May 28?

  • This is phase one of the karis.org website and post-phase one planning for fiscal year 2025 is already underway. The Marketing and Communications team has met with content leaders and has compiled a list of priorities and timing for the next fiscal year.

How are you inviting feedback on Karis.org?

  • Once karis.org launches and you’ve had the chance to click around, you might have some feedback. All website feedback can be emailed to feedback@karis.org (or use the ‘feedback’ button right on the new site!). We look forward to hearing from you!
  • In the weeks post-launch, we will also be conducting some user-testing with different groups like people who use services, employees, prospective employees, and community-engaged people.

Please reach out to communications@karis.org if you have any questions about the upcoming website launch.
